Credit Representative – Major Business (Temporary)

About the role

We are looking for a Credit Representative to join our Major Business Credit team on a temporary basis until December 2026. Based in Lower Kingswood, you will manage a portfolio of major business and public sector accounts, ensuring timely debt collection and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and collect debt across a defined portfolio of major business accounts.
• Administer collection procedures in line with departmental policies.
• Review and prioritise ledger debt daily.
• Complete cash‑flow, workflow, month‑end analysis and no‑remit reporting.
• Collect manual Direct Debits and resolve rejected payments promptly.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Identify accounts for escalation and propose solutions to the Credit Team Manager.
• Liaise with internal departments to resolve issues and support timely payments.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in credit control or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of credit control procedures and policies.
• Highly organised with a logical, methodical approach to problem‑solving.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Proactive, target‑driven and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
