Credit Risk Analyst

About the role

Ayvens is looking for a Credit Risk Analyst to join its Bristol team within the Risk & Compliance division. You will help ensure responsible lending, support portfolio optimisation and contribute to a data‑driven decision‑making culture.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and assess existing and emerging credit risks for the portfolio.
• Monitor and optimise credit strategy, risk appetite and policies throughout the credit lifecycle.
• Develop and track key performance drivers and portfolio forecasts.
• Perform limit, exposure, concentration and default management at portfolio level.
• Produce management information and ad‑hoc analysis for senior management.

Required profile

• Analytical, detail‑oriented and inquisitive mindset with experience in an analytical role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to simplify complex topics.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and ability to research new techniques.
• Professionalism, integrity, honesty and resilience in challenging situations.
• Empathetic yet impartial approach to work.

Required skills

• High IT literacy, including standard office applications.
• Coding experience with knowledge of SAS, SQL and Python (preferred).
