Credit Risk Management Analyst – London/Belfast

About the role

AIB is seeking a Credit Risk Management Analyst to join its UK Portfolio Management Unit, working across London and Belfast. The role combines data insight, stakeholder communication, and hands‑on problem solving to support the bank’s credit portfolio strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate analytical findings to senior stakeholders in clear written and verbal formats.
• Analyse and interpret credit portfolio and external data, supporting asset‑quality monitoring and early‑warning indicator enhancements.
• Deliver high‑quality reporting solutions for enterprise‑wide projects and regulatory reporting.
• Build collaborative relationships across UK and AIB Group functions as the face of the UK PMU.
• Interpret complex data requirements and leverage data warehouses or dashboards to develop appropriate solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a financial‑services environment.
• Strong understanding of risk management and lending/credit‑risk concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to influence both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Proven track record of delivering analytical insights and innovative thinking.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with Power BI for visualisation and reporting.
• Familiarity with QlikView or similar BI tools.
• Ability to work with data warehouses and build dashboard‑driven solutions.
