Criminal Justice Service Manager – Lead a Team of 12

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position leads a dedicated team of 12 professionals supporting individuals within the criminal justice system. Based in Peterborough, you will work for a charitable organisation recognised for its employee development and award‑winning culture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the service, ensuring effective support for people in prison and those transitioning back to the community.
• Oversee delivery of employment, housing, healthcare, wellbeing, debt and benefits advice.
• Spend two days each week in the Peterborough Community Hub for administration and team collaboration.
• Visit prisons and probation sites locally (Peterborough, Littlehey, Huntingdon, Cambridge, King’s Lynn) and travel to further locations such as HMP Wayland, HMP Norwich and Hollesley Bay.
• Maintain accurate records, produce reports and contribute to service development.

Required profile

• Experience managing a team in criminal justice, supported housing, homelessness or employability services, or a frontline role with clear leadership potential.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience or strong evidence of ability to lead and develop staff.
• Willingness to travel regularly and hold a valid driver’s licence.
