Criminal Solicitor (1-3 years PQE) – London

About the role

We are seeking a Criminal Solicitor with 1‑3 years post‑qualification experience to join our London team. You will represent clients across police station attendances, Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court matters, delivering clear legal advice and robust advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Attend police stations, Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court on behalf of clients.
• Prepare case files, conduct legal research and draft pleadings.
• Manage client correspondence, negotiations and billing.
• Ensure compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements and maintain accurate time records.
• Provide supervision to junior staff and undertake out‑of‑hours duties as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with 1‑3 years PQE in criminal law.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and prioritisation abilities.
• Experience using the Legal Aid Portal and handling Legal Aid funding procedures.
• Familiarity with privately funded work, Police Station Accreditation and Duty Solicitor status is advantageous.
