Criminology Lead Teacher (Part‑time, Camberley)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Criminology Lead Teacher to join our Humanities team at a college in Camberley. This part‑time position offers the chance to move to full‑time for candidates who can also teach another Humanities subject.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and development of the Criminology curriculum.
• Teach Criminology to KS4 and/or KS5 students.
• Plan curriculum, design assessments and monitor student progress.
• Implement strategies to raise achievement and manage classroom behaviour.
• Contribute to the wider Humanities department and, if moving to full‑time, teach an additional subject such as Sociology, History, Geography or RE.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching Criminology.
• Strong understanding of curriculum and assessment requirements.
• Excellent classroom practice and behaviour management skills.
• Collaborative, proactive approach to teaching and leadership.
• Ability to teach an additional Humanities subject (desirable for full‑time applicants).
