Cross-Asset Derivatives Execution Trader – London

About the role

The firm is seeking a Cross‑Asset Derivatives Execution Trader to join its London macro fund team. You will work closely with portfolio managers to implement directional, relative‑value and volatility‑focused strategies across global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and manage derivatives transactions across equities, rates, FX and credit markets.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers on the implementation of investment strategies.
• Monitor and manage options exposures, including delta, gamma, vega and theta.
• Design and execute options structures for hedging, portfolio construction and alpha generation.
• Oversee trade lifecycle events for both listed and OTC instruments.
• Analyse market liquidity, pricing and execution opportunities to optimise outcomes.
• Contribute to risk monitoring, exposure management and performance analysis.
• Liaise with counterparties, brokers, operations and risk teams to ensure efficient execution.

Required profile

• Proven experience trading or executing derivatives within an asset manager, hedge fund, investment bank or proprietary trading environment.
• Strong understanding of options markets and volatility dynamics.
• Practical experience managing options risk and derivative exposures.
• Familiarity with listed and OTC products such as options, futures, swaps and structured instruments.
• Broad market knowledge across one or more of rates, FX, equities or credit.
• High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast‑moving investment environment.
• Comfortable working directly with portfolio managers and investment teams.
