About the role

Join a market‑leading timber and engineered wood distributor as a Customer Account Manager. You will support key customers, drive profitable sales and help shape a more sustainable construction industry while working in a collaborative hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain high‑value customer relationships to achieve budgeted sales volume and value.
  • Secure preferred supplier status and act as the main point of contact for target accounts.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly, escalating when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate sales administration, including order processing and data entry.
  • Drive clearance of overstock, obsolete and quarantine stock to meet zero‑old‑stock targets.
  • Provide timely sales insights to the Area Sales Manager to support performance targets.

Required profile

  • Proactive approach to relationship building and account development.
  • Strong commercial thinking with a focus on profitability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing sales team.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

    What we offer

    • Salary range £33,000 – £38,000 per year.
    • Hybrid working model – three days per week in the Cirencester office.
    • 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
    • Generous pension scheme, company health/dental plan and group bonus scheme.
