Customer Advisor Specialist – Market Services

About the role

United Utilities is seeking a Customer Advisor Specialist to join its Market Services team. The role supports non‑household water retailers by maintaining accurate market data, investigating issues and ensuring smooth billing and settlements.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate market data updates in line with retailer requests and service level agreements.
• Update, validate and maintain market data across internal and external systems.
• Investigate transaction failures and data anomalies, identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, retailers and MOSL to resolve data issues and maintain data integrity.
• Monitor transactions to improve retailer satisfaction and reduce complaints.
• Identify and escalate data‑quality or operational risks to keep market data aligned with CMOS and other systems.

Required profile

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot and correct data errors.
• Strong planning, organisational and problem‑solving skills, able to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, adaptable to different audiences.
• Collaborative and flexible approach, thriving in a fast‑paced environment.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £16.29 PAYE, paid weekly.
• 12‑month fixed‑term contract through Reed Talent Solutions.
• Full training provided.
• 37 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑6:00 pm on‑site at Lingley Mere Business Park, Warrington.
• Free on‑site parking and shuttle bus service from Warrington Interchange.
