Customer Care Advisor - Older People

About the role

Join a fast‑growing customer support business as a Customer Care Advisor, working from a modern office in Altrincham. You will be the first point of contact for older customers, helping them navigate applications and providing reassurance throughout their journey.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound telephone calls each day.
• Listen to new enquiries, understand individual circumstances and explain the service clearly and patiently.
• Support older customers who may need extra time or reassurance on the phone.
• Qualify enquiries, book appointments with the Claims Team and maintain ongoing contact with existing customers.
• Keep customer information and CRM records accurate and up‑to‑date.
• Deliver excellent service without using a hard‑sell approach.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a telephone‑based customer service, call‑centre or similar role (preferred).
• Warm, patient and empathetic communication style.
• Confidence speaking with older customers and people who may require additional support.
• Strong telephone manner with the ability to explain information clearly and simply.
• Ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, healthcare or another customer‑focused environment is advantageous but not essential.
