Customer Consultant & Key Holder – Retail Sales

About the role

The Customer Consultant/Key Holder supports the store management team in delivering outstanding sales performance and exceptional customer service on the shop floor. You will embody The Body Shop’s values, helping customers discover ethical beauty products while contributing to the store’s profit targets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist store managers in driving sales and achieving profit goals.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to every customer, advising on product selection and usage.
• Uphold company policies, procedures and brand values at all times.
• Maintain visual standards and ensure the shop floor is tidy and well‑stocked.
• Handle key holder duties, including opening and closing the store securely.
• Stay informed about product origins, ingredients and Community Trade programmes.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Previous customer‑service or retail experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and listening abilities.
• Genuine passion for beauty, ethical products and the retail environment.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends and holiday shifts.
