Customer Delivery Driver – Colchester (Extra)

About the role

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will deliver groceries directly to customers' homes across Colchester. The role combines safe driving, customer interaction and a variety of physical tasks, offering a dynamic workday with independent time on the road supported by a friendly base team.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the van, trays and work area clean, tidy and organised.
• Load the van safely and perform all pre‑delivery checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Communicate order changes, substitutions or short‑dated items to customers in a friendly manner.
• Handle products with care, treating each order as if it were your own.
• Deliver within the customer’s chosen time slot, providing warm, courteous service at the doorstep.

Required profile

• Build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Be warm, welcoming and responsive to changing customer needs.
• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.

Required skills

What we offer

• Hourly pay starting at £14.18, rising to £15.45 in certain locations.
• Minimum 16 hours per week (roles from 12 hours also available).
