Customer Delivery Driver – Gallions Reach Extra

About the role

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will meet customers in their homes every day, delivering groceries with a smile. The role is hands‑on, physical and varied – no two shifts are the same – and you will work independently while receiving support from a base team of managers and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Keep your van, trays and work area clean, tidy and organised to ensure orders arrive in perfect condition.
• Load the van safely and complete all vehicle checks to guarantee roadworthiness.
• Communicate order changes, substitutions or short‑dated items to customers in a friendly manner and process refunds when needed.
• Handle products with care, treating every order as if it were your own.
• Deliver within the customer’s selected time slot, providing warm, natural service at the doorstep.

Required profile

• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues to foster team spirit.
• Be warm and welcoming with customers and colleagues.
• Respond quickly to changing customer needs while on the road.

What we offer

• Hourly pay starting at £14.18, rising to £15.45 inside the M25.
• Minimum 16 hours per week (roles from 12 hours also available).
