Customer Delivery Driver – Kingsteignton

About the role

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will bring groceries straight to customers’ homes, providing a friendly and reliable service. The role is hands‑on, physical and varied, with each shift offering different routes and time windows. You will work independently for most of the day while receiving support from a base team of managers and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the van, trays and work area clean, tidy and organised to ensure orders arrive in perfect condition.
• Load the van safely and complete all pre‑delivery checks to confirm roadworthiness.
• Communicate any order changes, substitutions or short‑dated items to customers in a courteous manner.
• Handle products with care, treating each order as if it were your own.
• Deliver within the customer’s chosen time slot, providing a warm, natural service at the doorstep.

Required profile

• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Be warm, welcoming and able to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Adapt quickly to changing customer needs and shifting delivery schedules.
