Customer Delivery Driver – Kingsteignton Superstore

About the role

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will bring groceries straight to customers' homes, providing a friendly and reliable service. The role combines driving, customer interaction and physical handling of orders, offering variety throughout each shift.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the van, trays and work area clean, tidy and organised to ensure orders arrive in perfect condition.
• Load the van safely, perform vehicle checks and maintain roadworthiness.
• Communicate order changes, substitutions or short‑dated items to customers in a courteous manner.
• Handle products with care, treating each order as if it were your own.
• Deliver within the customer’s chosen time slot, providing a warm doorstep service.

Required profile

• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Be warm, welcoming and able to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Respond quickly to changing customer needs and adapt to on‑road situations.

• Hourly pay starting at £14.18, rising to £15.45 in M25 stores.
• Minimum 16 hours per week (roles from 12 hours also available).
