Customer Experience Advisor – Retail Banking (Ely & Bury St Edmunds)

About the role

Santander is seeking a Customer Experience Advisor to work across its Ely and Bury St Edmunds branches. The role is 35 hours per week on a rotating schedule, covering Monday to Saturday between 8 am and 6 pm, with each site operating on alternate days.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for customers in the branch or over the phone.
• Assist with day‑to‑day transactions, queries and servicing.
• Answer customer calls routed to the contact centre.
• Build relationships and find solutions to meet customer needs.
• Develop knowledge of Santander’s services and products.
• Identify and suggest new ways to improve the customer experience.

Required profile

• Willingness to travel between the Ely and Bury St Edmunds locations.
• Flexibility to work a rotating schedule across both sites.
• Comfortable handling a broad range of banking activities.
• Strong listening and problem‑solving abilities.
• Team‑oriented mindset, able to thrive in a busy branch environment.
