Customer Insights Consultant

About the role

A client operating in the social care sector is looking for a Customer Insights Consultant on a three‑month contract. Working closely with the Head of Commercial Strategy, you will bring structure, insight and momentum to commercial planning for live, in‑person training offers. The role aims to deepen customer understanding, sharpen product positioning and lay practical foundations for future sales growth across public and private sector customers.

Key responsibilities

• Build and consolidate insight into Local Authority and care provider customer segments, commissioning environments and purchasing behaviours.
• Review and strengthen product positioning, value propositions and commercial messaging across the training portfolio.
• Improve the quality, consistency and effectiveness of sales and marketing materials in partnership with Marketing and engagement teams.
• Establish practical commercial foundations, including segmentation logic, campaign approaches and documentation to support ongoing sales activity.

Required profile

• Strong background in commercial strategy, customer insight or go‑to‑market planning, ideally within public sector, health or social care contexts.
• Experience working with complex customer groups and commissioning or procurement‑led buying environments.
• Comfortable working hands‑on with data, stakeholders and ambiguous problem spaces to create clarity and structure.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate insight into clear, actionable commercial narratives.
