Customer Liaison Officer – Fixed Term

About the role

We are looking for a confident, customer‑focused Customer Liaison Officer to join our team in Salford on a fixed‑term contract. You will act as the primary link between tenants, housing teams and operational staff, ensuring smooth delivery of servicing and compliance programmes across social housing properties.

Key responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with tenants, neighbours, housing officers and client representatives.
• Manage customer engagement and communication throughout the service delivery process.
• Deliver legal appointment letters and conduct legal appointment visits when required.
• Visit properties to achieve access and carry out door‑to‑door engagement, including cold‑calling properties approaching compliance deadlines.
• Support vulnerable customers, ensuring their individual requirements are understood and communicated.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally to reduce complaints and improve satisfaction.
• Collaborate with operational and scheduling teams to improve access rates and contractual performance.
• Maintain accurate customer records using handheld devices and company software.
• Attend client and site meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Approachable and empathetic with the ability to build trust with residents.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Calm and professional handling of challenging situations.
• Experience in a customer‑facing role.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
