Customer Relationship Manager

About the role

The Customer Relationship Manager will act as the primary liaison between key clients and internal operational teams within a busy commercial grounds‑maintenance business. You will ensure services are delivered on time, professionally, and to the agreed standards while supporting reporting and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of key clients.
• Coordinate service delivery across grounds maintenance, winter services, landscaping and arboriculture contracts.
• Handle client queries, resolve issues and manage complaints.
• Provide financial information, obtain supplier quotations and raise purchase orders.
• Prepare internal and external reports and keep contract records up to date in the SiteOps system.
• Support health and safety compliance and act as key holder, fire warden and first aider when required.

Required profile

• Experience in sales, account management or customer‑focused roles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.
• Confident problem‑solving and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• GCSE or equivalent qualification preferred; previous account‑management experience is a plus.
