Customer Service Advisor – Complaints (Plymouth)

About the role

This temporary position is for a Customer Service Advisor handling complaints for Royal Mail. Based in Plymouth, you will provide first‑time solutions to customers via telephone and email, working within agreed handling times.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑time resolutions to customer enquiries through phone and email.
• Manage consecutive calls and handle complaints professionally.
• Meet agreed handling times while maintaining high service quality.
• Use a multi‑screen environment to process customer interactions efficiently.

Required profile

• Passion for delivering great customer experiences.
• Confidence taking consecutive phone calls and handling complaints.
• Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing demands.
• Resilience under pressure and strong communication in spoken English.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with email, spreadsheet and word‑processing software.
• Comfortable using a multi‑screen workstation.
• Fast and accurate typing with high attention to detail.
• Excellent telephone manner and telephony experience.

What we offer

• Pay rate of £13.93 per hour.
• Temporary fixed‑term contract up to 12 weeks, with possible extension.
• Approximately 37.5 hours per week, Monday‑Saturday (8:00‑18:30), Saturday work required.
• Training period with limited annual leave, followed by potential pre‑booked leave.
