Customer Service Advisor – Full‑time (Temporary)

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join a leading stationery brand’s support team in Boldon Colliery. The role is office‑based and involves handling inbound calls, emails and live‑chat interactions to deliver a seamless customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound customer calls professionally and efficiently.
• Respond to enquiries via telephone, email and live chat.
• Assist customers with product queries, online orders, deliveries, returns, exchanges and refunds.
• Resolve concerns with empathy and a solution‑focused approach.
• Process orders, amendments and payments accurately when required.
• Maintain accurate customer records and interaction notes.
• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate team.
• Develop strong product knowledge to provide accurate recommendations.
• Meet individual and team targets for quality, productivity and satisfaction.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer service or contact‑centre environment is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Friendly, patient and professional telephone manner.
• Strong listening, problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Highly organised with great attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Empathetic and solution‑focused when handling customer concerns.

Required skills

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £12.81.
• 40‑hour week, Monday‑Friday with shift options (8:00‑16:30, 9:00‑17:30, 9:30‑18:00).
