Customer Service Advisor

About the role

The Work Shop is seeking a Customer Service Advisor to become the first point of contact for its customers. Based in Southampton, you will handle enquiries, process orders and support the internal sales team in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Answer customer enquiries by phone and email in a courteous and professional manner
• Enter and manage customer orders, ensuring records are accurate and up‑to‑date
• Coordinate with hauliers and carriers to obtain delivery updates and proofs of delivery
• Provide administrative assistance to the sales team and cover phone lines during peak periods
• Undertake ad‑hoc tasks that support overall business operations

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer‑facing role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organised, able to prioritise workload and solve problems independently
• Self‑motivated, conscientious and comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheets
• Experience using order processing systems
