Customer Service Advisor – Maternity Cover (Swindon)

About the role

We are seeking a Customer Service Advisor to provide six‑month maternity cover for a busy team in Swindon. You will work Monday to Friday, 8:00 am‑4:45 pm, delivering high‑quality service to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Respond to enquiries via phone and email, resolving issues professionally.
• Manage shared email inboxes across multiple departments.
• Answer inbound calls and assist with product enquiries.
• Process and dispatch product samples.
• Follow up quotations and make outbound calls to existing and prospective customers.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Support sales, purchasing, accounts and management with general administration.
• Provide cover for colleagues and assist in other business areas as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer service or call‑centre environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organised, reliable and detail‑oriented.
• Enjoys working in a busy small‑team setting.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a passion for helping customers.
