Customer Service Advisor – Occupational Health

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join our Occupational Health team in Abingdon. You will be the first point of contact for customers, handling enquiries, bookings and clinic coordination with professionalism and empathy.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer queries via phone and email, ensuring a high‑quality experience.
• Manage bookings for Occupational Health services and guide customers through the process.
• Open and maintain clinic schedules, source resources and set up appointments accurately.
• Liaise with third‑party providers to ensure clinics run smoothly and services are delivered on time.
• Act as a link between customers and internal teams such as Clinical and Laboratory, facilitating clear communication.
• Follow standard operating procedures, meet SLAs and KPIs, and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Perform general administrative duties to support day‑to‑day operations.
• Assist the wider team with additional tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Educated to national standards with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Previous experience in a customer‑service role is desirable.
• IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
• Customer‑ and quality‑focused mindset.

What we offer

• Competitive salary of £29,000 per year.
• 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
• Full‑time hours: 9 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
