Customer Service Agent

About the role

FindCore is assisting a fast‑growing customer support business to hire a Customer Care Representative for a permanent, office‑based position in Altrincham. The role involves high‑volume telephone work supporting predominantly older customers as they process applications. The ideal candidate is confident on the phone, works well at pace, and is patient, compassionate and genuinely good with people.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound customer calls each day.
• Speak with new enquiries and understand each customer’s individual circumstances.
• Explain the company’s service clearly, patiently and professionally.
• Support older customers who may need additional reassurance or time on the telephone.
• Qualify enquiries and book appointments with the Claims Team.
• Maintain contact with existing customers throughout their journey.
• Keep customer information and CRM records accurate and up to date.
• Deliver excellent service without using a hard‑sell approach.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a telephone‑based customer service, call handling, contact centre or similar role is preferred.
• Warm, patient and empathetic communication style.
• Confident speaking with older customers and people who may require additional support.
• Strong telephone manner with the ability to explain information clearly and simply.
• Able to build trust and rapport quickly.
• Experience within insurance, financial services, healthcare or another customer‑focused environment is advantageous but not essential.
