Customer Service Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Service Coordinator to join our team in Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire. You will act as the first point of contact for customers, handling enquiries, pricing requests and sample orders while supporting our sales and logistics functions.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries, pricing requests, delivery information and sample requests via telephone.
• Verify addresses, pricing, discounts, product and haulage availability.
• Enter quotations, sales orders, sample requests and schedules into the system.
• Investigate credit requests, process additional invoices and prepare credit notes.
• Maintain accurate and regular updates in the company CRM system.
• Liaise with transport, order book and schedule clearance teams.
• Check acknowledgements and support soft‑sales activities to promote stock and increase sales.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and accurate keyboarding.
• Ability to work under pressure, use initiative and remain flexible.
• Full driving licence.
• Willingness to travel for training events, including overnight stays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook/email.
• Experience using a CRM system.
