Customer Service Executive – £28‑30K

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Customer Service Executive to join our team in Reading. You will be the main point of contact for clients, ensuring a smooth handover from sales to delivery and providing a high‑quality, professional service throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily client orders and project activities from handover to completion.
• Maintain and update CRM/MIS systems with accurate client activity records.
• Collaborate with the Sales team to support quotations, conversions and ongoing enquiries.
• Provide clients with timely updates on production progress and order status.
• Offer commercial and technical guidance to aid client decision‑making.
• Escalate operational or service issues to management when necessary.
• Monitor production schedules to ensure deadlines and milestones are met.
• Identify and suggest process improvements across teams.

Required profile

• Strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to manage multiple client relationships.
• Confident communicator who can influence and challenge appropriately.
• Ability to recognise and manage commercial risks.
• Experience in a small‑business environment and flexibility to support varied functions.

Required skills

• Experience using CRM and/or MIS systems.
