Customer Team Leader

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Team Leader to join our Co‑op store in Rudgwick. In this role you will oversee the daily operations of the shop, lead a small team of Customer Team Members and ensure a friendly, efficient service for the local community.

Key responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the store during your shift.
• Motivate, coach and support team members to deliver high‑quality customer service.
• Work hands‑on on the shop floor and tills, setting the pace for the team.
• Maintain merchandising standards, stock accuracy and assist with HR processes.
• Promote Co‑op membership and engage with community and charitable initiatives.

Required profile

• Passion for people and leadership.
• Ability to work flexibly, including early mornings, evenings and at least one weekend shift.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Experience in retail, merchandising or team management is helpful but not essential.
