Customer Team Leader – Retail Store

About the role

Join the Co‑op as a Customer Team Leader and take charge of a small, dynamic store team. You will ensure smooth daily operations, support community services and help deliver essential products to local customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the store on your shift, overseeing all front‑of‑house activities.
• Motivate, coach and support team members to deliver excellent customer service.
• Work hands‑on on the shop floor and tills, setting the pace for the team.
• Maintain merchandising standards, stock accuracy and assist with HR processes.
• Promote Co‑op membership and engage with local charities and community initiatives.

Required profile

• Passion for people and leadership.
• Ability to work flexibly, including early mornings, evenings and at least one weekend shift.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Willingness to learn retail, merchandising or team‑management skills (experience not essential).
