Cyber & Information Assurance Security Consultant

About the role

Join a fast‑growing consultancy delivering cutting‑edge cyber and information assurance solutions to high‑security government and industry clients. As a Cyber and Information Assurance Security Consultant you will support long‑term, mission‑critical programmes within the National Security sector, working on a hybrid basis from Gloucester.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert security advice for business‑as‑usual operations, technical refreshes and new project initiatives.
• Implement and improve governance models aligned with client business needs.
• Identify cyber risks and propose risk‑based mitigation strategies.
• Conduct compliance assessments and evaluate cyber and information‑assurance posture across systems and processes.
• Assess technical security controls, including vulnerability management, security architecture reviews and technical risk assessments.
• Develop, refine or review security policies and procedures to meet corporate and regulatory standards.
• Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams to enhance service value.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cyber security and information assurance within Defence or UK Government environments.
• Strong understanding of risk‑management frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills, able to explain complex security concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Valid eDV security clearance at the time of application.
