Cyber Response Assistant Manager (Proactive)

About the role

The Cyber Response Assistant Manager will join KPMG's Cyber Response Services team, focusing on proactive security operations for public‑sector clients. Reporting to cyber response leadership, you will help organisations understand and mitigate cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with senior public‑sector stakeholders (Grade 7 / SCS 1‑2) on mission‑critical cyber engagements.
• Provide proactive advice on Security Operations, including incident management, vulnerability management and threat intelligence.
• Draft threat‑intelligence reports, design exercise scenarios and scope threat‑hunt activities.
• Liaise with clients on delivery, implementation and project issues.
• Support bid preparation by producing structured responses for review.

Required profile

• Broad understanding of the cyber‑security threat landscape.
• Demonstrable experience in Security Operations / Defensive Cyber Operations.
• Experience handling cyber‑security incidents and response measures (desirable).
• Knowledge of information‑security and IT methodologies, principles and technologies.
