Cyber Security Analyst – 6‑Month Contract (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to join a leading financial services organisation on a six‑month contract. The role is hands‑on and operational, focusing on triaging security alerts, driving vulnerability remediation and acting as the liaison between security tools and technical teams. The position is based in London with a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Triage and investigate security findings and alerts.
• Prioritise vulnerabilities based on risk and business impact.
• Coordinate remediation activities with infrastructure and application teams.
• Support the vulnerability management lifecycle from intake through to resolution.
• Track, evidence and report on remediation progress.
• Work with tools such as Microsoft Defender and other security platforms.

Required profile

• Experience in Cyber Security Operations or SOC environments.
• Proven background in vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender.
• Ability to triage security incidents and assess risk.
• Experience working closely with technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience in financial services or other regulated environments (desirable).
