Cyber Security Analyst – Manchester

About the role

Join the growing ICT Department of The Portfolio Group as a Cyber Security Analyst. Based in the Manchester head office, you will support the InfoSec team in a fast‑paced, cloud‑first environment, handling day‑to‑day security operations and acting as the first escalation point for junior analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage security tickets and requests through Halo ITSM.
• Monitor and investigate alerts using Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM, XSOAR and Cortex XDR.
• Perform incident response for malware, phishing, data loss and network intrusions.
• Support data‑protection, vulnerability management and security governance activities.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, Development, DevOps and Service Desk teams.
• Provide clear security guidance to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong communicator comfortable in a customer‑facing role.
• Self‑motivated, eager to learn and stay up‑to‑date with emerging threats.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi‑regional team.
• Passion for data and cyber security with a proactive problem‑solving attitude.
