Cyber Security Analyst – New Role

About the role

We are a leading organisation seeking a proactive Cyber Security Analyst to strengthen our growing security function. You will lead incident response activities, work closely with our SOC provider, and help shape security governance across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cyber incident response from detection through recovery.
• Act as an escalation point for analysts and support service delivery.
• Review and validate vulnerabilities, ensuring risks are understood and managed.
• Produce clear, insightful reports for customers and senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the SOC provider to handle alerts and threats effectively.
• Develop and improve cyber response plans and runbooks.
• Support governance activities and provide expert input into projects, tooling, and security architecture.
• Mentor and support junior team members.

Required profile

• Experience in cyber security within a complex or multi‑tenant environment.
• Strong incident response and security operations background.
• Confidence working with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Qualys or Tenable.
• Solid understanding of vulnerability management and risk frameworks.
• Ability to translate technical risks into clear business‑focused language.
• Experience supporting or mentoring team members.
• Calm, analytical approach, especially under pressure.
