Cyber Security Architect – Enterprise & OT

About the role

Our client, a major UK logistics network, is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Architect to lead the design and evolution of secure technology solutions across enterprise IT, cloud services and complex Operational Technology (OT/SCADA) environments. The role embeds security‑by‑design principles into critical national infrastructure and aligns controls with ISO 27001, NIST and NCSC CAF standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain security architecture standards, reference designs and patterns for enterprise IT, cloud and OT infrastructure.
• Act as the technical Security Design Authority for new capital projects, system changes and third‑party supplier solutions.
• Conduct threat modelling and architectural risk assessments to identify control gaps and improve resilience.
• Collaborate with 24/7 operations, network engineering and OT teams to ensure pragmatic and operational security patterns.
• Align security controls with recognised frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF and the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical security architecture within enterprise or industrial settings.
• Strong understanding of network segmentation, identity and access management, cloud security and OT/ICS security fundamentals.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA or TOGAF are desirable.
