Cyber Security Consultant – Flexible/Hybrid, Newcastle

About the role

We are looking for a Cyber Security Consultant to join a growing team delivering high‑impact projects across the UK health and public sector. The role is based in Newcastle with flexible, hybrid working and offers the chance to influence secure digital transformation for national infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design secure architectures for large‑scale IT and transformation programmes.
• Advise on security strategy, risk management and compliance (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
• Identify vulnerabilities and propose pragmatic, risk‑based solutions.
• Support clients with regulatory frameworks and secure solution development.
• Engage technical and non‑technical stakeholders to drive secure design decisions.
• Contribute to threat modelling and security documentation.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and risk management.
• Experience in security architecture or solution design.
• Knowledge of IAM, PAM, network security, encryption and cloud/infrastructure security.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Sole British nationality and eligibility for SC clearance (5 years continuous UK residency).
