Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

Our client, a prestigious leader in the legal sector, is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to protect its digital information and IT infrastructure. The role is permanent and hybrid, based in London with two days a week on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced security measures to prevent, detect, and respond to cyber incidents.
• Analyse cyber attacks, understand attack vectors and devise mitigation strategies.
• Maintain up‑to‑date threat intelligence to anticipate breaches and vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with IT teams to align initiatives with security policies and protocols.
• Provide consulting on best security practices and emerging threats.
• Design, implement and maintain security controls across infrastructure, applications and cloud environments.
• Work with risk and business stakeholders to strengthen the firm’s security posture.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in cyber security engineering or a related security role.
• Previous consulting experience.
• Strong knowledge of security technologies and frameworks, risk management and incident response.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
