Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join a fast‑growing technology SME near Oxford. Reporting directly to the CIO, you will shape and execute the company’s cyber security strategy across cloud, on‑premise and hybrid environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain cyber security governance aligned with ISO27001, NIST and Cyber Essentials.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed DevSecOps and secure SDLC practices.
• Design and oversee security architecture for AWS, Azure and GCP workloads.
• Manage security operations including SOC monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability management and incident response.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar cyber security role within a technology‑focused organisation.
• Hands‑on experience with DevSecOps and secure software development lifecycles.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC or CISA.
