Cyber Security Specialist – Level 2

About the role

The Cyber Security Specialist – Level 2 provides second‑level response to security threats and vulnerabilities, analysing logs and data to identify root causes and recommend resolutions. You will also design, implement and maintain components of Global Relay’s security infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide second‑level support for escalated security incidents and service requests.
• Review, assess and prioritize security events based on severity.
• Perform audit and analysis on internal and external data sources.
• Evaluate, install and maintain security tools such as vulnerability scanners, penetration testing tools, log management, IDS/IPS, mobile device controls, VPNs and DR systems.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and assist with security audits.
• Enforce security policies and participate in security awareness initiatives.
• Administer firewall rule changes, patches and updates following change‑management procedures.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of hands‑on experience with core information security systems.
• Ability to separate duties between monitoring privileged user activity and operational teams.
• Strong analytical skills to investigate security events and recommend remediation.
