Cyber Security Trainee

About the role

This Cyber Security Trainee programme is designed for individuals with no prior experience who want to launch a career in IT and cybersecurity. Over a series of four steps you will receive accredited training, hands‑on labs, official certifications and a guaranteed placement as an IT Technician.

Key responsibilities

• Complete accredited online courses from CompTIA covering IT fundamentals, networking and cybersecurity.
• Participate in practical labs to develop hands‑on technical competence.
• Sit the CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ exams and obtain the certifications.
• Work with the recruitment team to secure a first‑time IT Technician role with a salary of £30‑£35k.

Required profile

• No previous IT or cybersecurity experience required.
• Motivation to study online and complete practical labs.
• Flexibility to work full‑time, part‑time or while unemployed.

Required skills

• CompTIA A+ certification (upon completion).
• CompTIA Network+ certification (upon completion).
• Basic IT technician and networking knowledge.
