Cyber Threat Defence Analyst

About the role
Join the Cyber Threat Incident Response (CTIR) team in London as a Cyber Threat Defence Analyst. You will protect Macquarie’s global infrastructure by detecting, triaging and mitigating advanced cyber threats across a worldwide financial services environment.
Key responsibilities
- Triaging alerts using Splunk, EDR platforms, PCAP files and other tools to respond to sophisticated attacks.
- Analyzing attack trends and threat actor tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) to shape proactive defensive measures.
- Assessing critical vulnerabilities, evaluating their threat potential and recommending mitigations.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of security or technology experience in large enterprise environments.
- Hands‑on experience with aggregate log analysis (e.g., Splunk) and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
- Offensive‑security mindset with knowledge of threat‑actor TTPs.
- Ability to conduct manual, static and dynamic malware analysis.
