Daily Supply SEN Teaching Assistant in Havering

About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants for daily supply work across primary schools and specialist provisions in Havering. The role offers flexible, term‑time hours and an immediate start for candidates who are passionate about supporting children with special educational needs.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with SEN.
- Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment.
- Support children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities.
- Encourage pupil engagement, independence and confidence.
- Implement behaviour support strategies where required.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs.
- Patient, compassionate and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to different school environments.
- Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Required skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) on the Update Service.
