Daily Supply SEN Teaching Assistant – Tower Hamlets

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join a range of primary and specialist schools in Tower Hamlets on a daily supply basis. The role offers flexible full‑time or part‑time hours, working Monday to Friday during term time, and provides an immediate start for candidates who are passionate about supporting children with special educational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with SEN.
• Assist children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities.
• Support the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage pupil engagement, independence and confidence.
• Implement behaviour support strategies where required.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs in a school or care setting.
• A patient, compassionate and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to different school environments and student needs.
• Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Required skills

• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
