Damp & Mould Surveyor

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Damp & Mould Surveyor to lead and coordinate damp and mould‑related maintenance and improvement works across their estates in Southampton. This mobile, city‑wide role ensures properties remain safe, healthy, and compliant for residents and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate damp and mould remediation projects across a portfolio of estates.
• Conduct DRI surveys and ensure CDM compliance.
• Manage health and safety aspects of all works.
• Plan, programme and schedule project resources to meet demand.
• Oversee project finance, budgeting and cost‑effective delivery.
• Liaise with contractors, internal teams and external surveyors to achieve high‑quality outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in damp and mould surveying or related building maintenance.
• Familiarity with DRI surveys and CDM regulations.
• Strong understanding of health and safety management in construction environments.
• Ability to manage multiple minor‑works projects simultaneously.
• Good organisational and communication skills.

What we offer

• £29.96 per hour, paid weekly via umbrella.
• Full‑time role, Monday‑Friday 7:30 am‑4:15 pm (37 hrs/week).
• Initial 12‑month contract with strong potential for ongoing employment.
• Mobile role covering Southampton city‑wide.
