Data Administrator – Remote, UK

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, validate, and enhance the consistency and integrity of large‑scale databases and data repositories.
• Manage data backups, security measures, and routine database maintenance.
• Support the development and implementation of data governance standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams to collect, validate, and organise new data, ensuring proper storage and accessibility.
• Monitor data entry processes for quality, compliance, and internal controls.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality issues to minimise operational disruption.
• Partner with technical teams to improve database performance and optimise data‑management workflows.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Administrator, Database Administrator, or a similar data‑management role.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving abilities and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access.
• Experience with database management systems and understanding of database structures.
• Knowledge of data administration principles and data‑mining techniques.
