Data & AI Strategy Consultant (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are seeking a Data & AI Strategy Consultant to join a global management consultancy’s rapidly expanding data and AI practice. Based in London with a hybrid working model, you will partner with senior leaders of large, regulated organisations to shape their data and artificial‑intelligence road‑maps.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or support the creation of enterprise‑wide AI and data strategies.
• Engage C‑suite stakeholders to assess current capabilities and define future‑state roadmaps.
• Identify high‑value AI and advanced‑analytics use cases and advise on build‑versus‑buy decisions.
• Develop and embed AI governance frameworks, including policies for emerging technologies such as Generative AI.
• Translate technical concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Contribute to broader transformation programmes covering data management and governance.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering data or AI strategy in a consulting or advisory setting.
• Strong understanding of AI governance, risk and regulatory considerations.
• Demonstrated ability to work client‑facing, engaging senior stakeholders and driving discussions.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Experience in financial services or another regulated sector (e.g., energy, pharmaceuticals) is a plus.
