Data Analyst – 12 month maternity cover

About the role

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join a global organisation in Watford on a 12‑month maternity cover contract. The role involves handling large datasets, turning complex information into clear insights and supporting pricing and promotional decisions. The position is full‑time, Monday‑Friday with one day of remote work each week.

Key responsibilities

• Drive visibility, transparency and analytical rigour across promotional and pricing decisions.
• Support development and implementation of consistent promotional decision‑making processes.
• Collect, integrate and manage large quantitative and qualitative datasets, including sales, financial, consumer and competitor data.
• Prepare, validate and upload data to reporting tools such as Excel and Tableau.
• Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities and recommendations for pricing strategies.
• Produce and maintain monthly pricing and promotional reports, including competitor scorecards.
• Present findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Experience working with large datasets and delivering actionable insights.
• Curious, proactive learner comfortable with new software and systems.

What we offer

• Competitive salary £45,000‑£52,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• Hybrid working model – one day per week remote.
• 12‑month fixed‑term contract covering maternity leave.
