Data Analyst – Environmental Monitoring

About the role

HSL Compliance Limited is looking for a Data Analyst – Environmental Monitoring to join its team in Wolverhampton. The role supports the accurate and timely processing and reporting of environmental monitoring data, working closely with the Senior Data Analyst, Field Services and Client Services teams so that project data meets client and business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Process environmental monitoring data across specific projects and workstreams.
• Ensure data is processed and reported accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Provide regular updates to the Senior Data Analyst to support internal reporting and project management.
• Liaise with Field Services colleagues and work with Client Services and Field Services to resolve queries and data-related issues.
• Support specific projects and wider activities, including bids and tenders, IT and compliance initiatives.
• Identify issues and recommend practical solutions and process improvements to improve departmental efficiency, productivity and reporting quality.

Required profile

• At least 1 year's experience in the environmental monitoring sector.
• Experience of data processing and report writing.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration across teams.
• Desirable: experience of MP5, a BSc in a relevant field or equivalent, and experience with data portals and/or laboratory LIMS systems.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data.
• Desirable: practical knowledge of Excel and other statistical software.
