Data Cabling Installer – Short Term Contract – Manchester

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Data Cabling Installer for a short‑term project in Manchester. The role involves deploying structured cabling in live or existing building environments, primarily focusing on Cat6 / Cat6A and some fibre installations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, route and terminate Cat6 and Cat6A data cabling.
• Support fibre cabling installations where required.
• Mount access points, trunking and associated hardware across site locations.
• Perform cable pulling, labeling and basic testing at project completion.
• Maintain accurate documentation of routes, labeling and handover details.
• Work independently on‑site while liaising with clients and internal teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Cabling Installer.
• Strong knowledge of Cat6 / Cat6A cabling and termination techniques.
• Experience working in live or occupied buildings, including complex or older structures.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills with customers and stakeholders.
• Clean Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
