Data Center Technician – DCC Communities

About the role

Amazon Web Services is expanding its Infrastructure Operations team and is looking for a Data Center Technician to join the DCC Communities group in London. You will work on‑site in a high‑availability data‑center environment, ensuring that servers, storage, networking, power and cooling equipment operate safely and reliably for customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical resolver for data‑center infrastructure incidents.
• Diagnose and repair hardware and network problems, following defined Service Level Agreements.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of equipment failures and drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and respond to off‑duty emergency calls when required.
• Maintain and promote the highest safety standards, leading safety initiatives and projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data‑center or similar technical operations environments.
• Ability to work shift patterns and rotate between locations as needed.
• Strong focus on safety, manual handling procedures and compliance with regulations.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with solution teams.
